Smart Startup doesn't engage during windows startup
Published on June 28, 2007 By Rvanbel In Stardock Support General
During my windows startup my stardock smart startup doesn't engage and display a window. I noticed this because on my laptop it does display the smart startup on windows startup. Before I installed the new object desktop I just had window blinds, cursor xp, boot skin and logon and I thought that because I had them installed first before object desktop it has something to do with it. How can I make the smart startup engage? If I have to re-install object desktop and make some changes to make it work, how can I save all my skins and add them to the re-install?

Rvanbel use Stardock Central to archive each of your Stardock products, also select to save skins. I would also copy all of your skins alone to a cd or external drive. See link below for tutorial on Archiving with Stardock Central...note the page loads slowly because of the # of images

I am not sure about the smart startup, if there is a way to do it without reinstalling, someone else may come along who can answer that.

But archive all of your programs & skins regardless

you talking about the splash screen?

been a long time since I've seen it, but I seem to recall an option to disable the splash screen when it loads up - disabling the splash didn't keep the smart startup from happening, so... I haven't worried about it.

Basicly I have the screen pop up on my laptop, but on my tower it doesn't. I was curious to see what I can do about adding it.

I never found a 'I changed my mind, show me splash' option
